Well..maybe this is old news, but my brother got himself a new laptop about three days ago.
He can now replace his 5-6 year old desktop that can't really do anything except going to internet and working on the word processor.

I don't really like desktop anymore. It's so bulky, and you can't move it everywhere I want. I like the ones that you can attach the screen and the computer together, and I don't think the screen is that small. My screen is 15.4" =)

hahaha..your desktop is very new already la. But then...I always wonder. Why did you get a desktop instead of a laptop. It's almost the same price these days..hahaha
My brother doesn't have another laptop. That's his first laptop. hahahaa
cache is the small memory inside the computer. It's a lot faster than RAM, but it's a lot more expensive. That's why we only have as little as 2mb, and for RAM, we can have 512mb or 1gb. I have 1.2gb in my computer right now, but I think I have less than 1mb of cache in my computer. =P

We were planning to buy a laptop at first too (u know, as my third pc (the ancient one(d/s) counts too ma), since it's portable)..
but then we've decide to buy a desktop instead after some considerations..
1. i dun really need a 'portable pc' to carry around for now..and i will most certainly be addicted to it to wherever i go..so..yeah~
2. i really wanted a flat LCD screen desktop..and have always wanted a scanner/photocopier printer to scan stuff (I know we can buy that separately..but it looks great as a package ma (advertisement's fault)..:P)
3. i just fell in love with it in the flyers at that time..haha..blindly in love with a computer package..XD!~
i know those reasons were kinda funny(esp the last one) now as i or u see them..but that's how i felt ten months ago..^^"!!
and u know what..my dad depends me to check his e-meows right..and he always joke that he'll have a LAPTOP to himself..so that he could check e-meows by himself (which he doesn't know how to do) when I said I dun have time to check for him ..LOL!~ but he has been saying this for a few years la..hahaha*~

I guess desktop is good for you if you don't use your computer outside home (aka school), and if you prefer, you can always upgrade your computer without too much payments. =P
Your reasons are pretty funny, but I guess it's quite reasonable geh. Prices do catch a lot of attention. =P
