Shadow of the Day

I close both locks below the window.
I close both blinds and turn away.
Sometimes solutions aren’t so simple.
Sometimes goodbye’s the only way.

And the sun will set for you,
And the sun will set for you.
And the shadow of the day,
Will embrace the world in grey,
And the sun will set for you...

In cards and flowers on your window,
Your friends all plead for you to stay.
Sometimes beginnings aren’t so simple.
Sometimes goodbye’s the only way.

And the sun will set for you,
And the sun will set for you.
And the shadow of the day,
Will embrace the world in gray,
And the sun will set for you..

And the shadow of the day,
Will embrace the world in gray,
And the sun will set for you..

And the shadow of the day,
Will embrace the world in gray,
And the sun will set for you.

Nevermind...I just paid my tuition fees with my credit card.

Reminder to myself

I have so many things that I need to remember to do:

And right now, there is one thing that I need to pay --> my tuition fees

Deadline January 18th. Remember!

Happy holidays

I wish everyone of you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Happy holidays! =)

My Squirtle in Facebook

The big turtle (I named it Squirtle) with a Santa hat is my pet in my Facebook. All the mini animals are his friends. I think it's a great way to celebrate Christmas! See? My Squirtle is celebrating too!

Say bye to November 2007

I don't know why I suddenly want to say bye to November. I just realize right now that today is the last day of November 2007. XD

Anyway...December is coming!

CHRISTMAS! =D

Getting ready for Christmas

It's time for Christmas! I bought this Christmas tree yesterday to get ready for Christmas. This Christmas tree is only a few bucks, but it has LED lights, and it comes with small ornaments to make this Christmas tree looks pretty!

I might bring this to work so I have something to look it. It's USB powered, so I think I can just plug this in to my desktop at work. ;)

Pretty!

Soo much work again!

I had been trying to work on my work term report at home, and my programming things at work. Now I find it hard to take care of both things without getting me too tired.

Anyway...I will keep working hard. ;)

November 12, 2007

Haw flakes!

I love haw flakes (山楂餅)! It's my favorite food when I was in Hong Kong. I used to get a lot of them for free every time my mom bought some Chinese medicine from stores.

Yesterday, my mom and I bought 12 bags of these. I took 4 bags and I guess the rest are for everyone else (hopefully includes me as well). =P

November 11, 2007

Sooo many things to do!

I have soo many things to do at work. I am handling more than one task at the same time. I find it really hard to know the priority, like what I should do first. I don't know....and I don't feel right asking and distract my buddy too much. I find myself in a situation where I want to ask, but don't know if I should really ask, since I know my buddy has a lot of things to do as well.....

Life is hard....

November 4, 2007

Experience

I read something interesting today....interesting, yet very meaningful.

Here is the quote:

Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward.

=)

Halloween + Office!

Took some photos on Halloween day! Well...it wasn't that exciting if you see it here, but I will not upload them, since many of them are not mine. hahaha...and since I don't have permission to do that, I guess I will upload these ones for now. ;)

Anyway, these are just some photos I took when I was sitting on my desk....preparing the day. XD. Why are there so many flags? Well...because I work in the QOS Translations Team. ;)

October 25, 2007

Didn't update for a while

Man...am I getting lazy or something? I didn't update my blog for a while now!

I guess nobody really reads it now...so I guess it's ok. hahahaha

Anyway...just for an update.

I continue to work on my job. Trying to stay focus, but the thing is...it's really really hard!

Don't worry though...I will continue to work hard. It's only 2 months since August 27th.

I am planning to take one more course!

October 13, 2007

Bank accounts

I always wonder how many people still use cheques.
I don't use it at all, because I have no use for it, and it costs us to use a chequing account...so why am I wasting money on something that is ...useless?

My dad had stopped using cheques too...since internet banking was introduced. It's quicker, faster, and easier, and it's FREE!

I know I sound like a salesperson right now, but I suddenly have this thought...hahaha

October 8, 2007

Wii is bad...XD

I played too much Wii yesterday, and now my arm can't even move..hahahaha

People shouldn't play too much. ;)

October 3, 2007

Busy work

Busy work....so much programming...
If this goes on, I will start to forget how to write things in English. XD

September 24, 2007

A small update

I didn't write anything for a while. I guess it's because I am pretty busy at work, and a bit lazy when I am at home.

Anyway, I will just write about something I did in these two days.

Guess what? I am rearranging my living room!

It was actually my brother's and my idea. We want to make our living room bigger, and easier for us to play PS3 and Wii. =)

I guess this is what I get when we were moving stuff around....hahahhaaaaa

I will do more updates later...when everything becomes more tidy. ;)

September 17, 2007

Busy life

Went out all day on the weekends....
Worked all day during the weekdays....

Nothing special.

September 9, 2007

Lovely Telus booklet

Yesterday I got a activity book from Telus for filling out a survey. hahahaa

I love it...even though the activities are quite....easy. =P

I have scanned the cover of one side of the covers of this activity book.

hehehee...isn't it cute? And oh yeah, there are stickers inside as well. ;)

September 8, 2007

2nd week...DONE!

Just finished my 2nd little program today. Now I know how a developer can be a very difficult/challenging position. hahaha

You gotta keep thinking about ways to make things work logically. It's more than Math, and it's more than just basic logic.

September 6, 2007

Don't have much to write about

I don't have much to write about...as my life now is just work work work!

Maybe I should update this once a week...
I really want to write something new, but I guess I don't have time to do anything interesting.

I guess I will write something when I have something that I actually find interesting. =P

September 1, 2007

First week of work

I finally got some time to update this blog. It's not because I completely ignored the site. It's more because I only have about 1-2 hours of time for internet when I am at home.

The first week...a lot of trainings. I don't think they are trainings at all. To me, I think they are introductions to the technology/software BOBJ (Business Objects) is using. They don't help me to make my jobs easier. Since most people are in the PG (Product Group), we were all introduced to the same thing, even if some of the people don't have to care about them.

Anyway, the first week...I can't say I learned a lot, and I know that there are still A LOT of things to learn. I do hope I can get used to it sooner, as I am a bit worried if I can really handle all the stuff there is... I always wonder, "Do I have enough knowledge to handle the job?"

I will not say any technical things....I don't think there is a purpose to do that. I don't think you are interested in them anyway.

I am hoping that I can work well with the rest of the team. They all seem to be very friendly people. =)

August 26, 2007

Harry Potter done

I just finished my Harry Potter book....after about two months of reading it at night. XD

I will not spoil anything now....just in case there are still some people reading the book.

It's fun reading it....and now it makes me miss reading Harry Potter books....

Glad Wednesday is finally over

Went to see the family doctor....more because of my stress problem (it's not a disease).

Went to Downtown with mom. =)

Returned home at about 7:00PM. XD

Site update

I updated my little website which I started 3-4 years ago. My essential goal of this site is to include all the major sites I have and create in one site so all my friends can see it in a glance, but a few months ago, I decided to add an "about me" section to my site.

Today...I added something new ;)

I recreated my site. I think you will know what I mean when you visit this site. It looks completely different...hahaha

August 20, 2007

All done

All the final grades are now displayed on go.sfu.ca.
I am now finally relaxed.

=)

August 19, 2007

Kitty plan

I want to do Co-op to gain more experience.
I want to do volunteer job to increase my volunteering experience.
I want to get my CGPA up, so I can get into master if necessary.

I will try my best, with no regrets. =)

August 18, 2007

Grades and future

I wonder if everyone got their final grades back yet... =P

I think this is the most relaxing time, yet the most worrying time. Well, you will know what I mean when you try visiting go.sfu.ca to check out your grades.

There are always people who are happy about their marks, yet there are some who feel disappointed. Either way, we can still learn. We should keep trying, and work harder!

There shouldn't be any regrets.

This is the time in which we try to increase our chances to get a good career in the future. We can't guarantee that everything will turn out great, but if we can't even try to do something to control our future, then who can we blame when we face problems?

When luck is limited, we can only rely on our skills.

August 16, 2007

I hate group projects

Ha! I got my project mark back yesterday, and it was HORRIBLE!
All thanks to that one person who didn't work at all. He did nothing except screwing up over! We lost quite a lot of marks in functionality. Well...of course! We didn't even have enough time to implement more functions!

Anyway, as the result, I got a not-so-good final grade. I wish I can complain, but I think it's too late.

All I say...is that I hate group projects! And this is not the first time it happened to me!

August 14, 2007

Last day in Kumon

Time really flies.
Yesterday was my last day working in Kumon.
I worked there since I was in grade 11. I guess it's time for a little change.
I wonder if I can work there again 8 months later...or do I have to find another job.

I wish I don't have to worry about my financial problems, and just study without any work. hahaha
Maybe my problem isn't that big....just that I don't like having a government debt.

Anyhow, I guess it doesn't really matter. Changes are good...as long as I get a chance to learn more, and gain more. ;)

August 12, 2007

Soooo want to get it

Still being my lazy self

Was looking at my beloved dream cellphone. =P

I got this Quicktime movie from the SE site. Check it out.

If you can't see this movie, go to http://members.shaw.ca/kitty_angel/k850_1Mbps.mov.
Sorry for my bad XHTML. =P

Start working

Ha! I gotta start working today. I had been lazy in the last few days. I gotta get myself to start working. =P

August 10, 2007

Went to check out the new store

I went to the new Aéropostale store today. There weren't many people, but I checked it out anyway.

I checked out some clothings...and I saw this sweater that I wanted it sooo much. It costed about $40, but I didn't get it...hahaha I am too poor already...don't want to spend more than I need, and besides, I need to save up a bit to get some clothings that suit more for work.

But...I want it I want it. =0

August 9, 2007

Start learning Perl tomorrow

I borrowed a book from the SFU Surrey library today, and I think I will start learning it tomorrow...if I am hardworking. =P

I hope Perl is easy to learn...like PHP..hahaha

Gotta go work soon.

August 7, 2007

New iMacs

Look at the new iMacs! It's released today. Apple is still updating the Apple store...actually..hahaha, but I am already feeling extremely excited by this news from Apple. =)

Apple has upgraded the Mac mini too, but that's something I don't really care about. =P

GO APPLE!

August 5, 2007

Project poster fair in ASB last Friday

My CMPT 470 class was required to create a poster to show people in ASB about our project. Here is my group's poster. =)

I don't know if I really feel happy with this poster or not. It sure looks quite professional, huh? hahahaha... I created this image in Photoshop. XD
Here is another poster from a table across from my group's. =) This one looks quite good too. =P

August 3, 2007

Teamwork

Honestly, after a few group assignments, I truthfully understand what BUS 272's meaning of teamwork. I can feel it developing, and at the end...we become the most efficient team. That is totally amazing, yet sad, since we spent most of the time knowing each other, and understand what each other is better at.

Programming will become a big part of my life...I think. hahaha

but I am wondering...if I will that happy that I always need to see code in my life.

What do you think when you see something as simple as this?
def self.authenticate(userName, password)
find(:first, :conditions => ["userName = ? and password = ?", userName, Digest::SHA1.hexdigest(password)])
end
This is only 1/1000 of our coding lines...hahaha...

This might be harder than many fields out there, but I guess if I like it, I should be ok with it? ;)

July 27, 2007

Soo busy these day

Programming gets me headache these days...hahhaa

If you are facing a new language and struggling on that, I think you will understand how I feel.

I do hope my group members can communicate more. I think my group does lack a lot of communication...but oh well...XD

July 24, 2007

Busy busy

Maybe it's because it's almost the end of the semester, or maybe I am just a slow worker, but things is piling up again. =S

Lots of things to do...
And I cracked my nail yesterday...so I can't really type on my keyboard.

July 21, 2007

Harry Potter

I finally got my last Harry Potter book! I read the first chapter when I was waiting for mom to return to our car when we dropper her off to a grocery store. =P HAPPY!

COOP Video contest

I always wonder...why do they have contests for work? I thought work is work...I wonder why supervisors allow students to shoot videos when they are supposed to work.

From what I know, you can earn quite a lot prizes too...=P

For more details, please go to http://www.sfu.ca/coop/.

Slim PSP

Did you guys hear about the slim PSP? Well, it got announced in E3, and this version is a smaller version of the current PSP we see everyday. Well, according to some websites, there are not much differences...at least you don't see it...until you hold it in your hands. According to some people, this little machine is much lighter than the current PSP. The slim PSP is like a PSP without battery, and UMD. hahaha...isn't that great? Too bad it doesn't support homebrew games, nor it can play any UMD backups...or I will fall in love with it for sure!

The American version has black, silver and white, but it looks like Japan has three additional colours! NOT FAIR! TT

July 17, 2007

Gotta study Rails

Gotta find out how to use Rails...=S

July 16, 2007

Registered

I just registered for my course. =)

I know it's a bit late to register but who can I blame? SFU gave me this late appointment time. hahaha

July 14, 2007

Slacking off

I had been slacking off lately. I guess it's because I finished most assignments a bit early, and so I just started downloading shows to watch (by the way, my brother and I downloaded about 10GB of shows in the last 5 days).

Well, it's not like I had nothing to do, but I was waiting for my group members to finish their class assignments.

Anyway, I will work harder today. I gotta study Ruby on Rails. XD

I sure hope that will help to do our project sooner. =)

July 12, 2007

Sooo hot!

It's soo hot in Vancouver. It's around 32-35 degree Celsius these days, and I am dying because of this high temperature.

I don't even want to work on the computer, because my arms stick on the laptop, and that's extremely uncomfortable. =S

Anyway, I will keep this short, because I want to go!

Wish I have this drink.

My computing assignment

I think I finished it already. There might be bugs, but I will check it over when I have time. I never knew learning a new language is so fun! It's the first time I use PHP to create a web application. Well, it's not that hard after all! =D

If you have the motivation, then you can do it for sure!

July 8, 2007

Photography continues

I need to continue to work on my photography assignment. =)

And yes...if I have time, I will work on my computing assignment too. =P

July 7, 2007

Great Day today

Today is very sunny. I think I will go out to take some photos for my photography class. Whenever I have to do photography assignments, I always think it's a waste of time. haha Everything is so relaxing, and at the same time, you know you need to do it quickly because there are other assignments waiting for you. Hmmm...I already did ECON yesterday, so I guess I will spend today or something to do my photography. ^^

I signed up for BOLII for COOP yesterday, so I guess I will be more busy starting from Monday...

July 6, 2007

My job offer

After 2 weeks of interviews (a total of 4), I got a job offer yesterday from Business Objects. For anyone who doesn't know what this company is, this company is famous for developing Crystal Reports software.

Anyway, I accepted the job because I do love working in that company. It actually gives me a chance to learn more. I know I will try my best to complete each task.

Here are some pictures of the building I had from a week ago:

Doesn't look that nice from the outside, but when you go inside, it looks very nice. ;)

July 4, 2007

My little update

I didn't blog for a few days, and that's because I had been REALLY busy with all my stuff. I have my few assignments (they are extremely time consuming) to do, and the tech evaluation to present on Thursday.

Urgh...furthermore, I have a quiz to do this coming weekend and I don't even have time to study yet.

It's funny to hear how my ECON prof says that ECON is all analytical, and in order to do good at it, you gotta know the concept, and not just reading the textbook. Well...I agree, but I think most of the other courses are like that...isn't it? Well...unless you are doing history, I guess. All profs think the subjects they are doing are very hard...and that's the funny part.

Anyway, out of all the courses, I think CMPT is always the most analytical, and least-able-to-study subject. It has its good side. If you understand it, great! You don't really have to study, but at the same time, there are sooo many algorithms that you gotta know, and so, you are probably stuck reading the algorithm and try to understand what it means when you are reading the pseudocode.

Well...as for my COOP job hunt, I hope I can land on a job soon. There are some new jobs available on the website, but I am too busy to apply for more, and I don't have time to do more job interviews anyway. I do need to concentrate on my work, and do well in school. That's my goal for now. =)

Anyway, that's my little update. Take care! =)

June 30, 2007

Dino show!

Today, I saw a lot of dinosaurs from Aberdeen Centre. =)
Here are some photos. I choose not to upload them to Spymac this time, because I am really busy these days....sorry about that.

I hope you enjoy a few of my many dino pictures. =)

New hard drive

Last week, I bought this new hard drive from eBay for around $150CAD. I guess it's not too bad, since this is 320GB and it's the Premium ES edition. It supports USB and eSATA, and so it's more expensive than the essential edition (which only supports USB). I bought this with the price of the essential edition, since the eBay seller told me that he sold his last one to the last buyer. He said this was his mistake and so he sent me this better one.

This new hard drive does help me a lot of my previous storage problem. My laptop's hard drive is only 60GB. This really helps me a lot! Weeee!

June 29, 2007

iPhone release day...at least in the US

I heard that quite a lot of people were waiting in line outside Apple Store for the iPhone. Too bad we don't have iPhones in Canada yet, or I will have a chance to at least take a look at it.

$599US....too expensive. I will use the money to do something more worthwhile instead.

Soo tiring

It's always find it tiring when I have work and COOP jobs to look after at the same time. I don't seem to have a regular schedule in which I can sit down peacefully and work on my stuff. Yesterday, I went to Surrey for class, returned home, then left to Burnaby for an interview, then I returned home again, then 3 hours later, I went back to Burnaby for another class. hahahaa...I think that's around 5 hours of bus trip already.

Good things always come with a cost. I am not whining but that's just what happened yesterday.

Hope I can get a job soon.

June 27, 2007

Need to work really hard these days

I will try to post a few things if I find anything interesting. Or else, I guess I will keep everything as simple as possible in this blog for a while. Thanks for your support!

June 26, 2007

Tired but busy

Thank you for all your support.
I am really tired these days. Don't really wanna do a lot of online blog stuff.

June 25, 2007

Course decision

I chose my courses for next semester...
Don't know if I will take them though...but I guess I will do it anyway...lol
Sure don't want to take them...because I want to get a job instead XD

June 24, 2007

JavaScript

I learned JavaScript today...

Just so I have something in my brain...that will do better when I get a job interview. =P

Went out today

I went out today, and then I think I caught a cold or something...

Man...how weak can I get...hahahaa

Anyway..talk to you later.

June 22, 2007

My cat is being weird these days

I don't know why, but my cat always likes to hide under my parents bed these days. At first, we didn't know she was there, so we looked all over the house while we kept calling her. And every time we called her, she would come to us very slowly, and meowed. Just a few days ago, we noticed that she always stays under the bed...how strange.

Some more cat pictures:

More waiting!

My brother got himself a new laptop

Well..maybe this is old news, but my brother got himself a new laptop about three days ago.

He can now replace his 5-6 year old desktop that can't really do anything except going to internet and working on the word processor.

Pictures:

When it's closed.

When the lid is opened, but not turned on.

He got it for $749.99 CAD, and it has some cool specs:

Soo busy these days

I am so busy these days. If you had sent me e-mails in the past few days, please wait till I am more free. And please don't spam my e-mail account. Thank you!
Everyday, I am getting over 100 e-mails...so please don't give me more work to do.

And oh yeah...for Britian's Got Talent, Paul Potts won 1st place! His opera was really good. Congratulations, Paul Potts. =)

Busy day

Another busy day...

Britain's Got Talent!

Connie Talbot

Bessie Cursons

Paul Potts

Check them out.
I have more, but these are my favorites. =)
In my opinion, I think they perform MUCH BETTER than the American/Canadian Idol! =D

Garry Point Park

I went to Garry Point Park this past Friday. It was a horrible experience. It was raining at first, then clouds started to clear out and turned into a sunny day. This was a good part, but going out to take pictures got me my allergies a lot worse. I couldn't see anything at night when I returned home, and I was so frustrated when I had to sneeze every 10 minutes or so.

Starting from tomorrow, I gotta study hard. Thanks for coming here and support me. I read every comment you guys put here, but my eyes aren't very well at the moment, so I guess I will not take my time to comment them for now. I hope you guys will understand.

I uploaded a few photos to Spymac. I guess I will show them to you in here as well.
Enjoy!

Flowers in the park.

A lighthouse I saw beside the beach.

Some wild plants I saw beside the sidewalk. =)

I have a bonus for you guys. This is a Japanese Tetris game from a TV show, I think. =P You are guaranteed to have some laughters.

Weather is getting worse

I was planning to go out to do my stupid photography assignment, but the weather is turning bad. Now I end up studying at home instead...

June 14, 2007

My mom's food!

Two days ago, my mom made this food. It's "dong gua" + "cai sin" + ham + egg + "hong zou"

It tasted extremely good!

Solution to my Presario laptop

My laptop is about 3 years old, and its overheat problem is getting worse. I can't blame Compaq's quality. It's probably because I use it all the time, and as weather gets hotter, I really have no choice but to get a chill pad to cool it down when I am using it at home.

And so...yesterday, I bought Lapcool 3 for my Presario (or MacBook when I am using it).

And it works great!

I turned on the computer for 2 hours, and the CPU temperature is about 37 degrees Cel. My hard drive maintains the temperature of about 30 degree Cel. I guess it's not bad. ;) I guess it will get hotter if I am using programs like Photoshop, but still....this chill pad isn't that bad. =)

Oh yeah, I also cleaned the heat sink of my Presario. I did that last Summer...but I did it again yesterday. ;)

June 12, 2007

Have to study soon!

I have soo much work to do...and now I have to start studying...wooo...

Busy day again

Morning: Went to see the BUS/CS advisor to fix my transcript. She told me that my bachelor program will be issued by the business faculty, and so I asked her to request the change so I can have a degree issued by the school of computing science. Anyway...she will tell me when it's fixed. =)

Busy day today...gotta do some research tonight. =)

June 11, 2007

Lets dance!

I guess...here is my new emoticon

These are all me! The new me! XD

Nose goes bad

I keep sneezing these days. I guess it's my allergies again..hahaha
I hate it when I have allergies..
And then my skins on my face are messed up. =P Not good for taking pictures at this time...I guess...hahaha

Anyway, I have some new pictures to post...FINALLY!

My cat was meowing! =P She wanted to go outside!

Another picture.

I attended my brother's valedictory ceremony. I took some pictures of the plants while I was outside the church.

This is stupid

Today, I realized that one of my job application had been rejected. The funny thing is... the employer didn't even check out my official documents....

I guess he had already hired someone...that's why he didn't even consider me and anyone else. =(

Getting a job is hard! Getting a good job is even harder!

Beauty is everywhere

Do you believe that beauty is everywhere? I know Diggerstory from Spymac will agree with me, because he had mentioned this before. =)

I know he is right, but we just need to know how to catch the right moment. =)

Flower is beautiful, even when it is in the gloomiest moment of the day.

My cat looking out...hoping that she can go outside one day. =P

"I wonder if it is good for eating," the cat thinks.

Graduation

Another group of people is graduating this week.
link: http://students.sfu.ca/convocation/

Every time this happens, I start to think, "When will I graduate?" Till today, I still don't know the solution. I guess...if I only do one degree, I will graduate next semester...hahaha..but I guess not.

I guess that's a good thing. At least, I get to learn and experience more. Hopefully, I will be admitted to BA soon. =)

Prizes delivered!

The prizes I had mentioned yesterday had been sent through e-mail services. Amadeus and Kinki, hopefully you will get it soon, and don't be disappointed by my little gift. =P

+++

Today, I shot some photos. The whole day had been really cloudy, so I couldn't shoot any good ones, but here are some of my trials. =P

Anyway, here are two random shots. =)

My cat is not allowed to go out today. It's raining outside, so my cat ends up sitting near the window looking out. =O

A random picture taken with my old camera. =P

What I am up to.

I think my site becomes a photo album..hahaha..with no actual content of what I am actually doing. Maybe I should say something of what I am up to these days.

Well, in these few days, I had been trying to catch up with my readings, and start implementing my first Atom 1.0 feed reader. =) If you don't know what it is, you can ask me later. If you want the answer faster, just search it up. Most blog sites have this feature, even the site I am blogging in right now (Blogger.com).

Anyway...time for more pictures! I will try to write more too...I guess. =P

And for all the ones who had commented me in Blogger about the finding the dog question, I will give you a prize soon. =) Stay tuned.

Pictures from yesterday

I took some photos yesterday when I went to Stanley Park in Vancouver. I was gonna go last Saturday, but the weather wasn't great so I postponed my journey to yesterday after school.

Anyway, because I need to use some photos for my photography class, I will not post everything I have. I will pick the ones that I don't need for my class and post it here. I hope that's alright for you. =)

Today:
I went to Stanley Park to take some pictures today. It was great. I don't know if I should upload those pictures, since those photos are actually for my photography...so I guess I will upload the ones that I am not going to use for the class later. =P

Just give me some time. =P

See you!

May 24, 2007

Random pictures

I am about to prepare to go to school now. I just did some homework (well, not really homework, but more like school related work), then I came to blog again. =P

Here are my two random pictures I uploaded to Spymac today. =)

My cat!

A crosswalk sign I shot in the Surrey, B.C.

If you want to see more pictures, check out http://www.spymac.com/?r=a&u=47769. I usually put a proper description when you click on the picture, so you will know something about the picture. =)

My photograhy class

My photography class was quite boring. We were learning how to use the manual functions on the Olympus E-1 camera. Hmm...I guess it wasn't completely useless, but I can't say it's extremely exciting either. hahaha

May 23, 2007

More bonsai pictures (last time...I promise) =P

This is the last time I will post bonsai photos. I have a lot more, of course, but I don't want to bore you guys to death. hahaha...therefore, I will post the ones I like the most to here. =) I hope you still enjoy looking at them. =P

If you do have something to say about my blog new appearance, please give me a comment. Negative or positive are always welcomed. =)

Blog's new look

I had finally uploaded the new stylesheet to this blog. I hope this new look is not too pink for you. hahaha

If you have any idea of how I can make it look better, please let me know by commenting in here. thanks! =)

More Chinese plants

I have more pictures to post today. I guess you guys remind me of this word "bonsai", which I didn't even remember until someone posted a comment with this word in Spymac and in here [Thank you amadeus].

Anyway, so here are more bonsai questions, or I will say the Chinese styled plants. =P

Chinese plant display event

I went to Aberdeen Center yesterday, and I saw this Chinese plant display event in the middle of the mall. Here are some photos I took when I was waiting for mom to buy stuff.

Besides that, I was busy working on my homework, so I didn't update until now. Sorry about that. Anyway...I get more work to do later on. =P

P.S. If they don't display as well as you want, please click the flash images then click on 'view', then you will see the image a lot more clearly. =)

Folding@Home

Folding@Home is a distributed computing project -- people from through out the world download and run software to band together to make one of the largest supercomputers in the world. Every computer makes the project closer to our goals.

I decided to sign up yesterday and be a donator to this project. I find this program very meaningful and I am so glad that I can be part of this project. I know my computer is not that great, but at least it's better than nothing. With more computing power, I believe the researchers will find out a cure to all the diseases sooner.
