Spring is HERE!

My mom kindly reminded me to take some photos outside while it was all sunny yesterday. And so...I did! It turned out to be quite good. =)

arghh...

arghh....My hands hurt soooo much after I spend most of the time yelling at kids to keep their voices down and stapling for their 2 weeks of assignments in for FIVE hours.

This job is torturing me....

Mac OS X Leopard

That's so funny. While many companies are still creating support for Windows Vista, Apple has created support for its Mac OS X. So..from now on, Mac users can offically use Vista on their Mac machines. =P

I may do that in the future, but only when I have purchased the newest OS. I don't know, but I don't think I can trust a beta version for such an important software --> Operating System!

I don't think you guys will be interested, but I feel so happy that Mac supports something Microsoft has. hahaha...not like I really care about using Vista, but I do feel glad to have this feature. =)

Updating my computer software

I just finished my essay. Pheww...I am not going to edit it again. It makes me really tired.

After I finished it and printed it out, I uninstalled my Microsoft Office 2007 beta and installed a full version. That's because the beta will be expired on March 31st, and I really want to continue using it. It takes so long to uninstall and install it back, but it's worth it. I was gonna install it 1-2 months ago, but I was too lazy. =P

Anyway, Photoshop CS3 will be out on April 20th, I think. =P

Stressful weekend

I did so many things in the last two days (weekend). First of all, I started working on my ethical essay. I borrowed some books from SFU Surrey library [remind me to return the books later], then I started to read it on Friday. Sigh...it was soo stressful to work on such a long essay, especially when I don't even know what to write. hahaha

Anyway...that's the first thing I did.

Secondly, I had to do my Math homework. That was EXTREMELY difficult. If you want to see it, I can show you in e-mail. I made so many careless mistakes, but at the end, I fixed it. hahaha..I was so relieved when I finally got the correct answer.

I have work tomorrow again. Sigh...I hate work now. It's not just about being bored at work, but I have a feeling that the boss doesn't trust me and my co-workers too much. I don't know...maybe this is a wrong feeling, but the fact that she wants us to get more training is like telling us that we are still not meeting her expectations. Hmm...maybe...since we are still students. We are not trained for that. I guess she is right.

Oh well...I don't want to think about it. I will go with the flow, and hopefully, I will be happy with work again. -___-!!

I feel so sad regarding to what I had at work today. I seriously don't get why my boss has to make everything so serious. I know she wants to make everything more "professional", but seriously, she is just hiring students to do her stupid work. I am just a student, and I am not being high paid at all. It makes sense if I am high paid, and she expects more from us, but I certainly don't want to stay here. If I get a chance, I will move to another job. lol... That's just stupid that she wants us to get "trained" professionally, when we had so much experiences in teaching, as well as learning in Kumon. I do feel I know what's great for the students, as being a student helps to know what students really need.

Oh well...she is the boss, I am not....so blah. hahaha

I am not saying I don't like her, and I totally understand from her point of view....I guess I just got unhappy from what I have to do everyday in Kumon. I totally feel "downgraded"...but oh well. It's not like I will stay there forever.

I guess this job totally trains my patience. hahaha

I got Mail!

My New Beetle RSi finally arrived today! I am so excited right now. hahaha. I bought it from eBay about 2 weeks ago. I guess it took longer than usual because the custom was checking it to make sure the mail didn't contain any illegal items.

Anyway...so here it is!

Today:

I went to the 6 hour COOP workshop. Out of my expectation, my CS advisor was there teaching us too. She talked to us about the resume section, which she shared with us her experiences and how we should do to make the resume more interesting. I think this is a good workshop program and I hope I can use the knowledge to help me get a good job through COOP.

I was quite happy today. I realized Lisa was in this COOP session too. hahaha....too bad we couldn't talk to much, as she was late to workshop and had to sit at the very back.

My cat took a bath

My cat took a nice bath today, but for her, it wasn't too nice. Everytime she baths, she meows sooo much that it really makes us scared. hahaha

Anyway, after she took a bath, she became:

Internet Speed Analysis

I realized another interesting thing with my home network setup.

I don't know if that is true for most home networks, but apparently, my wireless connection is stronger than the Ethernet (wired) one.

However, when I am in my bedroom with my old PC laptop, I still have to use wired connection, as my wireless adapter isn't strong enough to detect my D-Link's router signals. My MacBook is ok, however, so I can use a more speedy connection on my Mac.

Yippee for my Mac! =P

Internet speed

I had been in doubt rather my internet speed was ok with my Mac. My wireless signal is weak, due to the distance between my D-Link router and my MacBook. After a test I had with speakeasy.net, I realized my internet speed is actually ok. I used the Seattle server, since that's the closest to me and there was no available servers in Canada.
